More Kilted in the Grand Canyon Pics

Other rafting passengers starting to share their shots. Here's a few more of me kilted on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.

Sitting in the "Tea Room" of the raft. A great place to ride.

Pleat shot. All that wood on the beach is fresh from being washed down all the side canyons by flash floods from the monsoon rains.

Looking back upstream. You may be able to see the other raft in our party behind us.

The rapids get all the billing but 90% of the trip is on flat water. Very serene...time to soak in all the beauty of the canyon.

Were Teva sandals....after day one with wool sox. Swore I'd never wear sox with sandals but on the river it works. Sox keep the sand under the sandal straps from rubbing blisters and the damp wool sox cool the feet. Most of us went barefoot in camp - lots of soft sand.

Very nice Ron. I like the one from the back with the drift wood, it really captures the feel of the canyon.

Again, glad your home safe, especially given the weather you'd been having.

    Cheers!

Thanks, made that pic my desktop at work. Like it too. We found TWO basketballs floating down the Colorado River...basketball is big on the rez but guessing the monsoon rains washed them into some tributary of the Little Colorado River and on into the canyon. We fished them out and called them "WILSON!!" But, couldn't tell for sure, the sandy water had scoured all the paint off of both of them.
