More on Mull (and Ulva)
Since we are enjoying photos of Mull, I thought you might like to see these. They were taken in August 2007 during my first time back on Mull in something like fifteen years.
Two along the Dervaig Road on Mull

Tobermory (it actually takes four or five shots to make the photo sweep of the bay)

Torosay Castle

Dun Ara on Mull, an ancient fortalice of the Mackinnons and others long before them.

...and a few more.
The standing stones at Glengorm.

Glengorm Castle itself.

Standing stone on the Quinish Estate.

Along the Fhionn-phort road

The "cleared" village of Ormaig, on Ulva.

and last, a bassalt cave on Ulva first occupied BCE3500 to 4000. I had the pleasure of working in this cave years ago and we left it in pristine condition. Today, sadly (and I won't share those pics with you), it's an unholy mess! To blame? Those who left their refuse behind them after sheltering from the weather. Who must clean it up? Each of us who visits carrying away as much as we can (my load weighed, I think, about fifty pounds this day).
