More pics @ Kilted Photo Gallery
I've posted a few more pics of my Fitzsimmons kilt over at the Kilted Photo Gallery. Here's one of them:

It was a rainy weekend and the latest pics are from yesterday when I was outside with my dogs.
(FYI, you need to be registered/logged-in to view pics at full size.)

That tartan should look great with almost anything brown!

What a gorgeous tartan, Jeffrey - I love it - and what a fine kilt too.

Handsome tartan - all those rich, deep browns and greens. To my eye, the depth and complexity of that tartan allows you to wear it casually or formally with either black or brown shoes/sporran/belts.

That is definitely one fine tartan. The colors speak to me, being more muted and earthy. Care to adopt someone into the family??

Thanks for the many compliments.
Hamish:
You're far too kind but I'm pleased to hear you like it. Matt does great work.
Rex:
Sorry.
Scott & smaughazard:
As for wearing the tartan with brown or black accessories: Yes, it goes well with either color. As for shirts and hose, the earthy tones of the tartan allow for many, many variations of brown and green so if you're like me and prefer soft warm colors then this tartan will suit you well.
KCW & Tattobradley:
The Fitzsimmons tartan is registered with the STA as a Clan/Family tartan; however, I did not restrict it when I had it registered, so anyone who wants to wear it may certainly do so.
FYI, only two mills produce the tartan: DC Dalgliesh, Ltd. (pre-STA) and The House of Edgar (post-STA). As a kilt it has only been made thus far by Matt Newsome and Tartankilts.com (House of Edgar).
The kilt in the photo is constructed of material from DC Dalgliesh and made by Matt Newsome; it is also the very first of its kind therefore priceless (to me at least). I have an additional 16 meters of material and an 8-yard kilt (my first!) on the way (21 July 2006) from The House of Edgar which will look decidedly different from (darker than) the Dalgliesh material. If you like the tartan now, just wait until you see the material from Edgar!
