Not good Derek, even if it was and old kilt, it didn't derserve that. Hope you can find some use for it, in its retirement.

Ooooooh dear Derek! I think this demonstrates perfectly, why many Scots wear their one kilt on special occasions!

Indeed! I sincerely hope that Derek's damaged kilt was inexpensive and not an heirloom quality tank

This cilt was not a cheap one ... but it has stood up to a great set of adventures. I still use it for bad weather treking and caves and have worn it decorating in the cottage. I just pin up some swatches over the holes. Its only the front apron thats gone.
Its been caving/potholing and around waterfall country nurmerous times

Luckily I have another 3 cilts for normal everyday/tidy wear and another 2 that are kept for 'best' etc.

I felt honoured to be present at the cave entrance to pay homage to your long lasting adventurous Cilt Derek.

That only seems like yesterday Rob. That was a good day.
Here is another pic from the last time you came to visit .... In search of a pint at

    The Goose & Cuckoo ...

Would be great if you could make our folk festival Sept 16/17th Rob. There are some great bands and artistes booked for this year.
