My Clark kilt with Irish Sweater

My wife made me kilt hose for christmas, as I mentioned in my introductory post. Here is a link to her non-commercial blog post about them... http://cozymadethings.blogspot.com/2...toirneach.html
Here is one of the first pictures of me wearing my Clark kilt. This is before I sewed down the pleats, which I hope I did right (I didn't taper the fell at all but did use a blind stitch).

Both kilt and hose look pretty nice to me. You are a talented couple.

I vote your photos go right into the modern wear thread. Very comfortable looking with style, that could be used any where in the world where the climate requires layering for warmth.

Love the way the shaping is done at the back of the calf! The pattern isn't distorted by the strain of a tube fitting around a well defined muscle. Good shaping is crucial for comfortable fit of anything. Great job!

Reminiscent of the nylon stockings with the seam up the back of the leg - nylon didn't stretch well around ladies legs either.

Very nice hose! Nice kilt also, but you could raise it just a tad to the top of the knee.
