    My Dixiecat Bonnet

Recently, XMarker Dixiecat offered several bonnets she had made while waiting in airports. I was fortunate to obtain one in mustard heather. I am very pleased with it! I love the color and the fit. Normally a wool bonnet is too hot for Virginia summers, but I think I will get see wear out of this one.

If Beverley offers them again, be sure to get your order in quick as I could do with another!

That is a very nice bonnet, Ern! I also really like the colour, so I'll have to keep an eye out for any others Dixiecat might offer!

That looks great on you Ern! I have to say that the mustard was my favourite colour to work with. I made one for Turpin which he wore constantly until he lost so much weight before he died, that it just didn't fit anymore. You can catch him wearing it in pics posted in the 2012 Stone Mountain Games threads. That bonnet remains one of my prized possessions.

I hadn't planned on making more bonnets, but if there is interest for orders, I can register as a Hobbyist and take orders. I find the knitting soothing.

Hey I believe I took a pic of Turpin at the Gordon tent at 2012 SMHG and captured him in his mustard bonnet. Looking good Ern and I too would like one best regards Mattie

Great topper, Mael. When you wrote "Dixiecat", I was looking for the gray and red Confederate secession style, no lie. Don't leave the house without a hat, only remove it to pray.
