Nice piccies Kevin, the kilts look fine on you. How has the response been from family to your kilts?

My motor mechanic is from the Isle of Man, I'll show him how good a Manxman can look, he's always teasing me about the kilt (in a friendly way, he's a fine fellow).

    Thanks, Graham.

Well, my wife is the only one in our family who has seen me kilted. She is all for it and likes the way it looks on me. I mentioned it to my brother who lives here in Denver in an email, but got no response. My other brother live in New Zealand and he just likes to find any excuse to give me grief, so I don't plan on telling him just yet. My step-duaghter will see me kilted in couple of weeks at her husband's birthday party, which is a costume party. My Manx Hunting wooly kilt should be here by then and I plan to wear it to the party. I'll wait for her reaction to the "costume" before telling her I didn't actually dress any differently than I do many days now - should be worth a couple of giggles. I told my Dad I had ordered a kilt and he just said "I don't know much about those", but he was interested in the Manx heritage aspect of the tartan...somewhat. He has been to IOM twice and has done extensisve research on our family. A few friends I have mentioned it to thought it was OK though. I have not had any negative comments from people I know, yet.

It was near 80 F today. The kitled stroll around the lake should be specially nice tonight.

    Hey Graham,

I was just browsing through your online photo album and saw the pic of you and Glen at the Irish Festival. That is held at Clement Park, which is where the lake is that we walk around every night. It's only a mile from the house here. Fancy that! Too bad I didn't know about this board then. Actually, I think I was in Hawaii during the festival this year. Well, if you ever come back this way let us know for sure. Would love to meet you!

From the looks of the pics, it seems your family is well adjusted to your kilting, true?

    Kevin,

Great pictures! Kilts on a guy with a beard, and living in the Denver area cannot go wrong! Now that picture of Graham and I at the Irish Festival was taken in front of a friend of mine (actually my cousins) booth. They have a store in the Citadel Mall in Colorado Springs FYI.
