    My first kilt...

    box pleated that is!!!

Mac Newsome had posted a note a few weeks ago that he had a Donegal tweed, box pleated kilt that he was no longer wearing. Well after checking the size, and deliberating for a while, I decided I would go for it. It arrived Friday and I was impressed. very good construction. Somewhat lighter in color than I expected, but that was not a problem. I also like the box pleats. Something different and they look like they might hold up to sitting better than knife pleats.

The material is great and had a nice weight. Wearing it to the office today and am happy. Will be modeling it for the ladies when they get in later.

Here are some pics from this morning. And I am wearing OATMEAL hose!!!

The hose look more like stone than oatmeal. They don't really work with the kilt and the brown accessories.

I've been in the same boat. I've got oatmeal hose, but stone would work a lot better with my tank.

Sharp kilt KCW - and the box pleats look fantastic! It looks like Mat has done it again. No wonder you have that big ear to ear grin!

Gled you liked the kilt. I always enjoyed wearing that one -- has a great weight to it. Wear it in good health!

What a great way to show off one fantastic looking Kilt, with a dog beside you. You wear it well.

Hmmmmm I'm still torn on how I feel about box pleats. I guess I would have to see how it looks on me, but I will say that it is a gorgeous kilt fabric....

It’s hard to miss the dog staring at that dog treat, in the first one.
