Looks good, one suggestion, not a big deal, when wearing a black shirt try black socks even with them scrunched down it will look better than the white socks.

I use that kind of rule a lot if you match your shirt and your socks, or hose, you end up with a lot of different looks, and it helps to pull the entire outfit together.

Nice looking kilt. As long as we are giving unsolicited advice, you might want to experiment with tucking your shirt in. I know you are probably used to wearing casual shirts untucked, but many wiser than me in the ways of kilting have suggested that with pleats on a kilt, tucked in seems to work better. Of course the choice is yours.

That's great...and you have a hot Chicago weekend to give it a field test.

I also like that particular style of sporran...sort of Heavy Metal and it holds your car keys and cell phone as well.

    Enjoy.

I tried, being that I got a good ole Chicago hotdog eating Old Style Drinking gut, the kilt doesn’t exactly show well tucked in. The sporran will hang an the chain will push the kilt in just showing my gut even more. I know I would love to tuck it in, but I’ll have to get rid of the gut first. (it’s a good motivator to get in shape.)

I’ll probably get a good rugby shirt when I get a few more bucks.
