My Five Seconds of Mardi Gras fame!
Today was Mardi Gras Day here in Mobile..... Well, I supose it was Mardi Gras day everywhere, but I digress...
It was Mardi Gras day, and also bitterly cold (by Mobile, Alabama standards) - Now don't laugh, Canadians, but down here when daytime highs don't get above 40 (F), that's a major event for us!
Its also a day that us locals fill the streets for the climax of the Carnival season, so the local news stations all did stories on people coping with the cold temps. I have worn my kilt to every parade we attended this year (in generally moderate temps), SO, encouraged by the stories I've read here of people going kilted in below-zero temps, I went for it.
As always, the kilt was a hit (they are pretty rare around here) - I was photographed by one station:

Another station stopped us as we passed and did a long interview with me - I spoke about kilts in general, my Scottish heritage, tartans, etc. spent a good 5-6 minutes talking to them. The final result is about 5 seconds in the middle of this clip! LOL!!

I would HAPPILY deal with 30s F temps right now. We're getting unusual amouts of snow and cold weather. I was shoveling in negative temps yesterday and had the thought, "how could I do this kilted?" To be honest, I don't think I could.
Glad you were able to get out and enjoy!!

You're looking good, Tom! Certainly looking respectful, in my humble opinion.
