My Meeting with Bikercelt
I just thought you might like to see a photo of Bikercelt (Jamie) and myself taken at London's Gatwick Airport on 30th Decemner, 2004.
Jamie, with his charming wife and two daughters, was en route back to the USA after a short Christmas visit to Ireland, Scotland and England. We all met, by prior arrangement, for a chat over tea and coffee at the airport. It was a great pleasure for me to meet up, albeit for only an hour or so, with another "X Marks....." member from over the pond, and I look forward to renewing our acquaintance, in Vancouver this next August.

Thanks Jamie, to you and your family.

Great picture, Ham!
It sure seems that our world is getting so much smaller these days, with the ability to meet in person the people we get to know online.
I too am very much looking forward to the "Bearfest" in August.

Hi Phil!
No, apart from the Kilts Night event on 6th August I am not aware of anything else! I will need info. pretty soon as I'll need to book the flights to and from the UK - and get the accommodation organised - before the fares start to increase.
My plan is to spend about two weeks in Vancouver, which would include a few days visit to Seattle with my pals at Utilikilts HQ - but that's dependent upon the US Authorities allowing me, as a Brit., into their country! I have yet to check it out, but I hear that our new Passports will not be recognised by the USA, and that we will also have to pay heavily for a visitor's Visa. We've not needed Visas for years! If there is too much hassle, I'll have to stay in Vancouver the entire two weeks.
However, before I can make any plans, I need dates of any events other than the Kilts Night!!!

If you have problem or just don't want bother with crossing the border, Utilikilts folks may come to you instead!! The Vancouver Pride Festival(the other BearFest-I can't help it, sorry Bear!) is held the first week of August and the Utilikilts Folks may be in town for the weekend.

Thanks for posting the Picture Ham. It was truely a pleasure meeting you and my family and I look forward to seeing you again on our continent next August. For the record, I want to say how impressed and pleased I was that you would take the time to travel just to spend an hour or so in an airport coffee shop visiting us. Thank you.
Once I get caught up with neglected work and domestic issues I'll try to post some of our adventures.
Jamie
