My son & I Kilted at Twin Lakes Theam Park

We went to Twin Lark park at the weekend . The sun was out and it was a great day for every one . I picked up a bargen last weekend at a car boot and got 3 x 30” kilts cheep. No good for me but ideal for the kids so i turned up the nicest one and made it to fit my son . This was his first time in a kilt and Not to Happy about it . with i don’t want to put on a dress and so on . But he had it on for most of the day and after we went on the water slides i said he could put his Breeks on and so did i as we went to the inside play area and slides and kilts just don’t mix so only dodnt have it on for the last 2 hours of the day . But at the end of the day he was OK with it and i don’t think the next time he will be bothered about it as much LOL . But i think it looked real nice with us both wearing them. His sporran is the one I got with my kilt and a little to big for him I know but he did ask me to get him a horse hair one for his kilt and I just won one on e bay I bid on last week it said child's sprron due to size, so hopefully it will be good for him its old Vintage 1950's and I just got 1 my self same age and horse hair as well so we will have to see how they look when they turn up .

The funny thing is My Ex’s Husband and the farther of the 2 smaller girls in the pic is from Perth My Ex is from Glasgow “ He has seen me in my kilt a few times over the last week and he knows i were it as normal every day clothing since i got it.” He wanted to put his Black watch kilt on so said to the Dragon, Norbo’s going to be in his kilt tomorrow at the park i think ill put my’n on as its only been on twice in 10 years, “at there wedding 10 years back and at a friend’s wedding 2 years back” and she said No your Bloody Not LOL so he did what he was told . Trust me she is the red head in the pics and you don't mess with her

So these are some of the pics of the day . I hope you like them.

You both look natural all kilted up. Good that your son is getting used to kilts early. Thanks for sharing.

Norbo, when I saw the title of this thread I said to myself, what happened in a week to bring your son around; but after reading along I see it's part of a process to kiltedness for him. Good on ya! And great picts too, btw.

Great photos Norbo, the sporran looks good on your son, just a wee bit large but hardly noticeable. It really is wonderful that you are both wearing the kilt.

Thanks for posting the pics. Nice kilts and comfortable looking outfits. Your sporran scales better than your son's, but time will take care of that.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

It is to big for him its a adult one I got with my kilt , but I do have a horse hair one on it way that's a child size so that should look better for him. He did ask me to get him a horse hair one so with any luck he will want to kilt up agin so he can use it . That's my cunning plan any way
