    New bespoke hose

My girlfriend's mom in Nova Scotia knitted me a pair of bespoke kilt hose to go with my MacDonald of Clanranald Ancient tartan kilt. We worked collaboratively on the design and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Some might think these are too matchy, but I am very satisfied with the result!

Nathan, I see no reason why you should be the only recipient of those very nice looking hose. If the lady made then for you then she should make then for all of us, that is only fair.

Very nice! And I second sailortats' recommendation!

Did ye watch the rhythm of the kilt,

Fine idea sailortats. But I don't think this is like getting caught with chewing gum in a class room (where you should bring enough for everyone.) However Nathan, if she could see it in her heart to do so, she would have our lasting gratitude.

For those that want a pair like this, you can always pick up some needles and give it a go!

It looks like those above are close to this free pattern...

Brilliant! Well done and complimentary colours are hardly matchy-matchy...not the same shade blue or scarlet. As well, particularly enjoy setting them off with the lovat garters. Nice. Besides, with a sett like Clanranald, lest you were to wear "Mustard" or "Brachen" (something contrastingly complimentary), there is nothing to illicit a matchy-matchy feeling in what you've posted.

They are very close to that pattern, but notice the size of my turn down/cuff compared to those...
