New Heritage of Scotland tweed Jacket and waistcoat
My trusty converted tweed jacket that I have worn so often over the years has sadly become shabby and my lovely F-H.C.A.G. wanted to buy me a new one to replace it. None of my local shops had or would order anything but charcoal grey colored jackets so after some research and advice I decided to try the infamous "Gold Brothers" and order one from Heritage of Scotland. It shipped on time from Edinburgh and in a few short days arrived here in San Jose. I am quite pleased with the product and would use them again.
As I do have a lovett blue tweed jacket and waistcoat that matches a number of my kilts (and is something of a "safe" and common color) I thought it would be fun to go with something bold that would match the others in my collection. I believe the color of this particular tweed is named "Pheasant Loganberry" or something like that, but let's face it...its...RED!
For your consideration...the latest additions to my closet

What do you think?
Cheers
Jamie

That's not bad, actually. Well done.
How's the quality of the fabric/construction? The fit looks pretty good.

Dapper, as always Jamie! Definitely not what I had pictured when you mentioned buying new tweeds.
Also, not a look I could pull off, but then again I'm the man who owns 7 black suits and isn't an undertaker.
Love the sporran, btw

Ken,
So far it seems quite good. It is as well made as the Lovett one from William Glen and Son I picked up a couple of years ago.
Scott,
Yeah...I have been pretty pleased with the sporran, definately "old school" but I like that!

Looks smashing on you! I have looked at some of the tweeds they offer, they've a very nice selection. I like the Heath Loganberry tweed a lot.

Excellent! Frankly, it's a bit of a relief from all the gray, blue and black that seem to be the dominant colors in kilt jackets.

Not a look I could pull off.
Nor I. All my tweeds lean toward brown, dark green and blue/gray.
Great look. The Panama and cane add just the right touch.

You pull it off very well. I, on the other hand would look like a giant cranberry in an outfit like that.
I am interested to see it paired with other kilt/tartan combinations.
