    New kilt

Here's what I wore today for Burn's Birthday:

I was in Ireland last semester, so none of the first years (freshmen) have seen me in kilts (or heard my play my pipes, but it's too cold for that outdoors right now). So I though that today is the perfect day to introduce them to my little hobby.

I was received well, and complimented by more than one cute girl... This kilt is in the Pride of Scotland tartan and is a 16oz. from Frugal Corner (for writing them an ad for bagpipes). This is actually the first time I've had a chance to wear it, and I think it goes very well with the rugby jersey. Tomorrow, when I host the Burns Supper I organized on campus, I'll be more formal. Hopefully I can get a photo of that too.

Well, I have to run. Time to baptize the kilt for it's first time out drinking!!!

A sharp look for sure. Betcha some of your friends will soon be kilting up just to keep up with the ladies you're probably dragging away from them.

Was too hectic today to take photos but wore my hand sewn (Kathy Lare) Modern Scott Red with bottle green Lewis hose and a bottle green shirt. Told everyone at work about Robert Burns and his birthday and Burns night.

One very attractive and very young coworker sidled up to me and didn't kilt check me, but did raise the hemline of the kilt to feel the wool material and say how much she enjoyed me kilted. Be still my heart.

We all know that kilts are babe magnets...but leaping two generations! Yeeehaaaa! Be still my aging heart.

Must be Rabbie's spirt infused on this most holy of days that attracted her.

I have been thinking about getting a kilt in that tartan.
Is it pleated to sett or stripe?

The kilt looks good, Greg. Nice tartan, huh?

Seeing you in that shirt again, I stand by my theory that you've lost weight.

    P.S.
You look so different so clean shaven!
