New Vest from Matt Newsome
It seems that swamped as he is, Matt Newsome is still cranking them out! The vest arrived a couple of weeks ago, with sincere thanks - it's exactly as I wanted it - but I didn't have an occasion to kilt up until today. Highland Games in Embro, Ontario. I'm taking my camera and I'll post a few of those later.
Meanwhile, here's the vest with a variety of kit:
(Kilt, Sheriffmuir and hose from John at Keltoi)
(Sporran by Scott- the Artificer)
(Carryall Sporran from Steve, Freedom Kilts)
And with Saxon dress, just to shock my parishioners when I unbutton my jacket.
Thanks a million, Matt; I love it!

Beautiful tartan and match, but I wonder why you are getting those wrinkles just at/above the top button? I hope it's just a matter of hitching the shoulders up higher after you don the garment and any jacket.

Mostly because I took the pictures myself and didn't notice them until afterwards.

Very nice. I have to say the white jacket with the vest and the clericals is a winner.

What an excellent showcase for the versatility of a piece of clothing!
...and I don't mean the clerical collar

I, too, thought they were some odd form of wrinkle at first, but now I have changed my mind.
I believe what we are seeing there is the lower edge of the lapels of the vest, no?
