    Not one comment ..

We were invited to play last fri eve at a bikers 'do' in a club the other side of town. Full of leather jackets etc and chatted to loads of folk and not one comment as to why I had a Cilt on. There were about 250 there by the time we kicked off with our band (folk/ rock ... www.roseamongthorns.org.uk) ...
    A couple of pics ...
setting up and the people were starting to come in ...

And during our one and half hour set .. there is a cilt in the pic ...

It was a fab night, lots of beer flowed and the party got quite wild once we were done .. twas great ..

Looks like you had a grand time.

I'm not surpised there where no adverse comments. One thing I've learnt about the biker fraternity is that most don't fit the general stereotype that popular media love to promote.
Our local Hell's Angels, a 'rough looking bunch of tattoed, moustachioed, leather and denim wearing brutes' as I've heard them called, are very accepting of people, generous to a fault and a great bunch of gentleman - and yes I did deliberatley use the term gentlemen.
Each year they dress up as Santa, ride their Harleys etc through the local towns, deliver toys to the local childrens homes and give the kids a great Xmas riding around on the guys laps in the grounds.
I've found they don't judge others as they are often mis-judged by others, themselves.

I can echo Martin's comments. As a group of people I have always found them to be far more understanding and accepting than most.

Yup. Being polite in public gets a lot of brownie points that are good armour when you're viscious out of the limelight. I've experienced that too.

We had 3 bikers who used to roadie for us when we were on the road full time. In all the years they were with us, nothing was ever too much touble. Plus we have played at many bikers festivals and have always found the same there.
Another pic where you can just make the cilt out a bit more. Soz about the quality of the pics.
