Ohio Renaissance Festival 2012 - Highland Weekend

Had a great day and great weather for the Highland Weekend. Some photos of the parade and the two groups that were the musical entertainment for the day. Tartan Terrors and Albannach.

Looks like a great time. Next year I might be able to make it for the last weekend. My schedule this year hasn't been kind :-/

Has time travel been invented while I was asleep?

Looks like a fun day out. Nice pics

Nice photos! I took the family and some Scottish friends down for the Highland Weekend. None of us had ever been to a Renaissance Festival before so you can imagine our reactions to some of the more 'bizarre' outfits - there was some very creative costumes on display. Watching a few lasses being fitted for corsets 'entertained' us for a few moments. I'm not sure what the fascination with elf ears is...and I might sound silly for this but what's up with the foxtails?

It was certainly not what we thought it might be...but it was definitely an experience.

We did have a fun time and I got to debut my new USAK Semi-Trad!

I started going to this a few years ago primarily to see Father, Son, and Friends play. I missed it this year and last year. I should put it back on my calendar for 2014. Sounds like you had a good time. I enjoyed looking at all the costumes the years I attended.

Was this really the 2012 (last years) festival?

You caught me! Don't know what year I'm in. Maybe someone can change it to 2013.

I've never really figured out the foxtails but then half the fun of this is to see the "outfits"!

My oldest daughter wears animal tails around everywhere. Usually fox, tiger, or raccoon. I'm not sure what's up with it either, but it makes her happy, so I just go with it.
