Tokareva posted about his first snow and I teased him about the amount. Having grown up in the Midwest and mountain west where snow is feet in depth I wondered if having lived in southern California for 18 years would have killed my thermostat. We went to Oak glen which is in the mountains and it had snowed. Granted only enough to leave a foot print and I had dressed for the expected temperature. I found the only thing that got cold was my feet. I really like vibrams but if the whole trail had been covered I'd have paid for it. Luckily it was largely melted and in many places it was dry.
Here is Grizz in the snow and then me and him.
Grizzly was like a puppy in the snow and cooler weather. He ran the trails up and back. I told him he'd pay for it and after 2 miles he was one pooped out puppy but ha had fun and muddy feet.
You've heard of tea cup Chihuahuas well grizz is a bucket Chihuahua
Most birds won't allow me to take their picture but this guy sat there for as long as I wanted. (granted much of the time behind the branch or in the shadows) but I was excited to get decent bird pictures.

Grizz welcoming people to the apple farm
And the Hieland cows finally had more than their butts pointed toward me.
