Our Daughter's Wedding
I wanted to thank everyone who assisted me in my quest for the Kilt, and the accessories and their appropriate wear, for our Daughter's wedding. It was a great success.
My Brother in Law told me he was prepared to "raze" me about wearing a "skirt", but that after he saw me, was impressed with how good it actually looked, and that he was a little envious.. The few of us who were kilted, received many compliments from guests.
Here's a photo of me giving the Father of the Bride speech. I was a bit "lubricated" on some good Scotch and Champagne, but my Daughter said that afterward there wasn't a dry eye in the house, including Ol' Dad's...
Thank you all for helping make this a very memorable day for our Daughter, her new Husband our families and friends.

Thank You! I will pass your seniments on to them.
The ceremony was on the Oregon Coast, with weather very similar to the Highlands. It was sunny and warm both the day before and the day after, there was a light mist falling the day of the wedding and the temperature was about perfect. Very unique ceremony in that it was held outside over-looking the surf . The mist added to the ambiance. Several guests commented on how it was kind of surreal, and almost tailor made for the Celtic theme of the wedding. The reception was held on a covered rustic patio.
The Piper stood off in the trees on a small knoll and played both before and after the ceremony. It was very soothing to hear those Pipes playing in the distance and echoing from the hillside.
BTW, Have I told you what a great wedding it was?!

Congrats to you father. I have two daughters who are young. I can't imagine giving them away. You looked great by the way.

rlh2,
She's my only child. She's still mine, and always will be. Don't see it as "giving them away". Just look at it as gaining a Son.
Thanks!
Ron
