Our wedding anniversary
Last night my wife and I celebrated out 11th wedding anniversary.
The kilt is my wife's gift to me from last year.
We dined at one of the best steak houses in the Northwest - El Gaucho.
While waiting for out table, I had a nice Balvenie Doublewood. Once we were seated we had a Caeser, prepared tableside, followed by a fantastic Chateaubriand, also carved tableside.
After dinner, we danced and finally came home. She had a last glass of wine, and I sampled a nice Orkney malt from the S.M.W.S.A.
At any rate, here are a couple photos of us before we left for the evening.

The only notable kilt moment was when I sat down at our booth. I did my normal pleat sweep, and sat down. As I did, one of the two men seated at the table next to us barked out a short laugh. I looked over, but he wouldn't meet my gaze.
I didn't begrudge him, and didn't take it personal. He was clearly surprised at seeing a kilt, and I'm sure the "sweep" caught him off guard.
However, the two women at the table immediately said, "Stop it! I think it looks good!" I made eye contact with one of the ladies, and said, "These seats can get cold..."
She laughed and her friend said, "Now you know how we feel!"
All in all, it was one of the most enjoyable evenings I've had in some time.

You two look great together! And it is a great looking kilt - what's the tartan and who made it?

"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
