Out and About in the Scottish Borders

Kitted out for the dance class in Cunningham tartan kilt with Gabrielle in matching red black and white.

In the grounds of Duns Castle, beside the Hen Poo'.
Kilt is in Glasgow University tartan.

Outside the Whip and Saddle in Duns, a two hundred year old inn where I often have lunch.

    Jedburgh Abbey

    Robert Burns House in Jedburgh.

Concluding with a shot at Jedburgh bus station, one of our wee buses with Gabrielle and the wife of one of the other drivers. Gabrielle drives buses in Germany.

Great pics Alex! I never thought you as being short, so Gabrielle must be very tall!

If you don't mind me asking what are the details of your Cunningham? Mill? weight? Modern or Muted?

The kilt is 16oz/yd weight, 8 yards, in Cunningham modern tartan.
It was made for me in 1994 through a kilt shop in Gordon, Berwickshire, which has since closed. I do not know which mill wove the tartan.

Thanks I appreciate the info! As awesome as our tartan is (IMHO) it's surprising how little I see it around.
