Out to dinner.
It's been a long winter and I haven't had or made many opportunities to wear the kilt out. So to celebrate a mildly warm day in Chicagoland, I went kilted out to dinner with my lovely wife (not pictured, because someone had to take the photo).

Wearing my PV Fraser in the Marton Mills Hunting-Ancient-why-is-there-no-white-stripe coloring with some lovely House of Cheviot purple Harris hose. The too-low-hanging sporran is the cantle many of us bought from Robin Upton and a bag I made myself out of some scrap leather. I'll get around to making a nicer once one of these days, but it's very useful for a first attempt!

@Llama
You need to try and make one of our gatherings, we have been trying to hold them monthly!

I have just bought this tartan (though I thought Frasier was the TV series ), was contemplating wearing it with a peat brown tweed Crail jacket and white shirt.. not sure if the overall look will be too dark as it is a lot of brown... it was for a wedding, but may have a plan "B" in either a Skye tartan and green jacket...
It's nice to see the Fraser tartan in a photo as I was unsure how it looked. Thanks
Kilted Technician!

Just so you know, this looks different from many of the other Fraser hunting tartans. for some reason there's a red small stripe where every other mill (including Marton Mills' wool lines) has a white and red stripe alternating. It's also much more rich in color than others.
The Fraser tartan is confusing enough, with the lowland and highland Frasers being separate.
Also, thank you. I didn't realize my earlier typo.
