    Wow great job. My wife knits, and found some really cool sock yarn at Micheal's yesterday. I told her if she moves on from hats and scarves to socks she could make me some new kilt hose.

    Those are very nice looking hose!

    Standard, I find that someone a person cares for is needing something, (kilt hose for example) that can be a great motivator to make them. I've just learned to knit socks this month because I wanted to give them as a birthday gift. I just started to knit a couple of months ago. So good luck, I hope she makes them for you (And if she does, tell her "welcome to the dark side" -- apparently, lingo for knitters who've started to make socks) lol.

    Aye they do that, but you have to have fairies at the top of the garden with a set of 4 dpns and a ball of wool in their hands.....then hey presto.......Actually they do not take a good photo inside as it gets so dark up here...
