    A Photo and a Story...

    Hi Gang

I just got the Union Kilt I won in the logo desing contest so I thought I'd show it off. You may remember I won a leather kilt, but I'm just not a leather kilt kinda guy so Richard and company were kind enough to send me a denim kilt and some extra swag.

This is my first contemporary kilt - its very well made and fun to wear!

Now for the story... When I was done taking these photos a neighbor walked up to me and introduced herself then said "I've noticed you wear kilts quite often... awkword pause... so I'm just wondering... awkword pause... why?" I said "my kilts connect me to my heritage and I guess I'm old enough to wear what I want without worrying about what other people think." She smiled and said "its too bad it takes us so long to stop worrying about what other people think isn't it?" then she added "its nice meeting you and you look great!" I smiled.

Very sharp Phil! I never thought I would like a denim kilt but after seeing yours, I may change my mind.

I'd like to add my congratulations on winning too, Phil. I didn't think I cared for the light blue denim in a kilt, but that one from Union Kilts is a corker, and you wear it well - but the hose and shoes don't do much for the overall appearance!!! I've now four Union Kilts and they are all equally well made and extremely good value.

    Well done!

    Hi Hamish

Would you mind giving me some help here with hose and shoes? I think I know what to do with a traditional kilt - but I'm clueless when it comes to contemporary kilts. I bow to your fashion sense and experience!

Great looking kilt Phil! I will definitely have to keep that in mind for one on my wish list.

As for the hoswe and shoes, ack low rise loafers or similar and dark (black) hose would work well with that outfit. For a casual look, sandals, preferably with black leather straps, would work well.
The kilt concealed a blaster strapped to his thigh. Lazarus Long
