Pics! Glengarry Highland Games

So I figure I'll start a thread with photos from this weekend's Glengarry Highland Games in the hope that anyone else that was in attendance and snapped a few pics will also share them here. I'll link to this thread from the pre-games discussion thread.

Here I am with @Dileasgubas aka Lt. Col Steve Young, Commanding Officer of the Stormont Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders. This local regiment was founded by Bishop MacDonell and the men of the area who are mostly MacDonell/McDonald of Glengarry and MacDonald of Clanranald clansmen. I am proudly wearing a tie of the Canadian Highland Brigade that was given to me by Mr. Young shortly before this photo was taken. Perhaps he will explain more about the tie for everyone.

Shelly Campbell from Cape Breton and Troy MacGillivary from almost Cape Breton (Lanark, Nova Scotia) were the final act at the afternoon fiddle ceilidh. Everyone that shared tunes at the ceilidh did a marvellous job, but these two are world class.

Massed bands was fantastic. This is the North American Pipe Band Championships and the 78th Frasers Halifax Citadel Pipe Band won the Grade one competition!

I also wish I got photos of Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy ripping out tunes. My friend got some video so if it ends up on Youtube I'll share the link.

The best of the bunch in my opinion. It's massive and a ton of fun. Lots of camping, a Regimental tug of war, workshops, whisky nosing, great vendors...So much going on you're bound to miss something amazing while you're doing or watching something amazing.

It certainly provides an excellent viewpoint for the massed bands closing act.
