    Pics from Ohio Scottish Games

Here are a few more pictures from the Ohio Scottish Games that my wife and I attended last weekend in Wellington, Ohio, near Cleveland.

I had the opportunity to meet three X Marks the Scot members, but didn't have time to post all the pictures and comments.

First up is David Thorpe at the Clan MacTavish booth:

David is wearing the rosette on his bonnet he made himself.

Next is Mark Stephenson, also at the Clan MacTavish booth. I didn't see them together to get us all in one photo.

Also met Santa Kona Wally who was manning the Clan Claus booth.

We had an interesting discussion of the organization he started and the good work he supports.

This was our first visit to these games and we enjoyed them a lot. One of my wife's favorite singers, Charlie Zahm, was a featured performer. He has a great baritone voice. He performs mostly on the east coast. If you care to hear some of his music go to this site: http://www.charliezahm.com/

    Looking forward to next year.

Just a quick clarification. That is Santa Kona, who founded the Clan Claus Society. Santa Wally is a different person who is a member of Clan Claus, but was unable to be there at the Ohio Games this year.

Congratulations to Santa Kona for winning the best Clan Booth at this year's Games (booths rather than tents since they are in one of the fairground buildings).

They did an outstanding job for sure! Although Clan MacTavish went all out, we came away with a tie for second with Clan MacRae. It's difficult to compete with Santa and a real sleigh!

I was there as well. I watched Santa Kona win best Clan... I wish I would've met some other X marks member's while I was there... My family and I had a wicked great time at the games this year we already can't wait for next year!
