    Pithy Panache

I mentioned in another thread how I was given a Pith helmet from X Markers walkerk and Madalyn as an early birthday present. Though I intend to put this to use at the coming Campbell Highland Games, I thought trying it out beforehand might be advisable. Basically I am just adding it to this outfit:

So with my new helmet and my A_Hay! sporran

Before Retro Red can say it

"With that sporrran I guess it was a Boar War uniform"

A couple of people thought that I was taking the eccentric General Orde Wingate as inspiration

Of course, he'll need to start carrying copies of Plato and Aristotle around with him wherever he goes, and wear a raw onion around his neck.

    Anyone have an onion?

Or perhaps I need one of those horsetail fly whisks from What Price Glory?

    Cheers

    Jamie

I think it looks really smart Jamie! Very military-esque. You need an M1 Garand now.

What a hoot Jamie. Not many of us can pull that off, but you certainly do.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

I think a Webley revolver and a swagger stick would go better with the gin and tonics at the officers club.

    Cheers

    Archoille,

Nice touch, definately the better for the seasoning!

    CelticRanger66,

Thanks. If you are interested in the sporran here is a review and better photos of it.

Perhaps a trip to Gilroy for some garlic??? Are you sure you are not taking the pith out of us?
