Prince of Wales USA Kilts Casual
I found this tartan lurking on the semi-traditional page and had it made up into a casual. Thanks for the flexibility Rocky.

And, a front view with the buffalo sporran and conference name badge.

I really like this tartan.

That IS a beautiful tartan, Ron, but I am wondering from whence it came! I cannot find it an any of the tartan-finder sites I have bookmarked - it must be a Marton Mills 'special' - rather like their "Ireland's National"!
I am seriously thinking about another kilt or two from Rocky - especially with my visit to Southern California coming up in October. My "Ireland's National" semi-traditional from USA Kilts will be perfect for the temperatures I've been told to expect, but just the one kilt will not be enough for my stay there!!
Well done! Here's another fine kilt ya got y'rself into!!

You're right Ham,
Probably a mill designation. The colors are the same as the Welsh District Tartan and the Welsh assembly tartan (Are you listening Derek?)
This is a tartan that's very hard to get good pics of, you have to see it in person. There are only three colors, red, a dark forest green, and white. The dark forest green looks nearly black on the swatch or pics.
There's a majesty about the look of the tartan, perhaps that's why it got a princely name.
It does well incorporate the colors of the Welsh flag, so for me - even though its a merchant tartan, it serves to honor my Welsh blood from my Bowen and Lewis lines.
Remember, you won't find this swatch on the casual listing, its over on the semi-traditional swatch listing. Just ask for it made up in casual if that's what you want. I like my casuals with wide belt loops.
Today, I'm sure if I'd known how beautiful this tartan was I'd have had it made up in a semi-traditional instead....and may still...
Thanks Kelly for your craftsmanship.

I've got a Prince of Wales from Melville Kilts and it's one of my favorites.
