Proper Kilt Attire at the Dukes.

... Fourth Annual Duke Kahanamoku H'Island Games, that is. This doubled as my birthday party, this year...

Three lads showing you how it's supposed to be done, PROPERLY.

Stephanie Robbins, showing us how to throw shotput. Underneath that green monstrosity is a Gordon kilt. I think.

Lance bought the shirt specifically for the occasions.

Kilts and Hawaii'an prints. What's not to love?

Here are the young guys pondering what the real difference is between a kilt and a Lava-lava, anyway? And why is this rock so heavy?

See the Atlas Stone in the background. When we were done with the Highland Events we loaded those. Well...not the REALLY big ones.

I think Lance fouled this throw. Ya think?

Our Host... Wayne SHaffer on the left, who maintains the Park and makes it available to us...and my friend Marty Nichols (who used to post workouts here in the Athletics forum.).. looking relatively normal.

If the Hawaii'an shirt is too hot and restrictive, then TAKE IT OFF!

    Or not.

It was a great way to spend Fathers Day, my (somewhat delayed) birthday and any random Sunday at Shaffer Park, near Santa Cruz. Us boorish throwing and kilted Lebowski's know how to have fun!

To finish this off in proper daywear, dignified, gentlemanly form...

Wayne holding court over the BarBQ -

Kilted Tetherball.... Well Robbie on the right is wearing a kilt, anyway!

Yours truly...kilted, on the zipwire. It's a little zipwire, but it was silly fun.
