the rabble made me wear it
Well, not quite, but most of the kit you see was either made or bought from X-Markers.

The Balmoral came from Redshank at Dunadd Trading Co. It's a custom-made Mackie.
The pin on the bonnet is a pewter cardinal I bought a couple of months ago and glued a clutch back onto.
I made the shirt last summer.
The belt I got from Jerry at Stillwater Kilts.
The buckle was made by tyger of Tyger Forge fame.
The sporran was made by A-Hay! a few years back.
The kilt is a Newsome box-pleat in the tartan Carolina.
I made the hose.
The garters came from the STM.
The sgian green (which you can't see here) was made by Drac.
The shoes came from Wal-Mart.
The dreaded beast was brought home and maintained by the Mrs.
Since my thread about making stuff has been taken over by anglers, here's a brand-new one to shop off the creativity of the Rabble herein assembled.

Oh my, we're a busy bunch of butterflies, aren't we?
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Well, that is a great outfit David! One of the things that I notice is, at first glance one immediately gets the impression that "something" is "different." And, of course, some things are different!

That DBH design of yours turned out very well, if I do say so myself. May I have your permission to use an edited version of your photograph?
PS Didn't mean to go OT on your other tread about making things. Of course, to fishermen, it isn't OT! Hehehehehehe.

Bravo! Good work, good taste. With a little brushing and trimming you might pass kitty off as an aloof Scottie.

Interesting colour choices for the bespoke Mackie Balmoral, I am curious to what inspired them? I am thinking of having another bespoke Balmoral done, one like His Grace the Duke of Argyll wears; Lovat blue crown, scarlet toorie, and Lovat blue and white dicing. Very smart and unusual look in my opinion, and I may do the same with a Lovat green version.
Cheers,
