    Raining buckets in VA

I live along the eastern edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains and its been raining quite a bit here for the last several months. Today its rained several more inches-not heavy but enough so the gound simply can't take anymore. The water is leaching out of the ground when you walk.

So I did my best to make the best of a cool, dark and rainy day here.
Unfortunately my 11 year old tripod was not to happy about going out into the rain! Hence the blurry shot

Gum boots, outer rain jacket, 1804 Lamont box-pleat and hand-knit bonnet from Tartanweb. Great day all and all!

It has been unseasonably wet here on the Western Slope. We'll take the moisture any way we can. Great shots even with the gum boots.

That's a well-adapted outfit (and a beautiful tartan). BTW, we've been far wetter than usual down in Savannah, too.

We've had a goodly amount of rain here in Cincinnati this year. So far the weather has been quite pleasant, and my flowers are loving it. My house, on the other hand, is showing need of repair.

    Regards,
    Rex.

For the first time in many months a large glowing orb appeared in the sky. My sump pump is keeping the Edison company very wealthy, here in Boston.

Here on the West Coast we've had fog in the mornings, followed by a bit of sun in the afternoons.

    Thumbs down

Since arriving in Tennessee, May22, we've had some rain nearly everyday. Somedays a short shower, other days a "gullywasher" like it's doing right now as I type this. Been raining for about an hour with sharp, nearby lightning and thunder. Flash flood warnings for several counties in east Tennessee.
