Recent Kilted Days
Haven't been too active on the forums these past few weeks, but - somewhat ironically - I've worn a kilt twice over the past two weekends.
Two weekends ago I attended an event called Kegs, Corks, and Kilts. Local/regional breweries, wineries, and distilleries brought their goods for sampling/purchase; live music provided by a local band called Full Kilt. In addition to the band (who are always kilted when they perform), I saw at least a dozen or more people in kilts, easily the most I've seen in this area beyond the Burns Supper. I had an inexpensive day sporran on the way, but it didn't arrive in time, so my coyote fur dress sporran got dressed down a bit with a polo shirt and Dr. Martens.

This past weekend, in keeping with our yearly tradition, I went out with a bunch of current/former co-workers and friends for St. Paddy's Day. Decided to go with a utility kilt and rugby jersey, because at least a few of the bars we hit still allow smoking and I didn't want to have to worry about smoke smell and/or stains on my wool kilt.

I think I'm going to start wearing the utility kilt more often and, now that I have a simple black day sporran, probably the traditional one too.
Verbing weirds language.
