As I posted my Mom died a month ago and we went to her funeral. We stayed about a week and enjoyed time with family. My Daughter from Maryland left tried to fly out but spent hours sitting at the gate with airline people being no help and pretty snippy about the situation. They basically had two lines. Get off the plane and lose your ticket or fly to Denver and you can only ask about options when you get there. She chose to go and got there to find out there were no more flights leaving and no motels (Tyler Swift concert). She did stop at one of the little stores that was still open and bought food and the lady there gave her a sweater because she was cold and told her there were cots in the upper area (which the airlines never mentioned) so she went up and got a little sleep. The next day (the day of the funeral) she could only get a flight to Snow Valley which left 2 hours after the funeral was over. She got to Blackfoot around 11PM because it's a 4 hour drive. She stayed the next day and then had to fly home. In Denver again her flight was delayed for several hours. The person at the gate said it was because of the heat but as other flights were constantly leaving. It turned out the pilot wasn't there yet. I don't know who had the saddest weekend. Mom got to go to heaven and while Julie was still alive it seemed like a preview of hell.
We spent time playing at my daughters home and large yard. Duke discovered corn on the cob
We also made a side trip to Craters of the moon
We went to Idaho falls Zoo
