a recent wedding gig
I do gigs all the time but rarely do I ever see any photos.
The bride of this recent wedding was kind enough to send me one!
The location was the beautiful Mission Inn, in Riverside CA.

For those not familiar with the Mission Inn, take a look at the stunning photos here (the slide show runs automatically)

Nice photo.
Last time I was in Riverside, was the early '90's. I suspect it has changed quite a bit since then.

I agree, a photograph to frame. Nice kilt as-well. Isle of Skye?

Thanks guys! Yes Isle of Skye, my go-to kilt. In fact the whole kit is what I always grab when running out to a gig, the only thing that varies is which shirt & tie and which hose (Royal Blue or Claret). My kit is pared down to the minimum: I don't wear a waistcoat or a belt or a kilt pin.
Yes I used to work at Blandford & Son Scottish Imports in Redlands. I was one of the founding members of the band now known as Kevin Blandford Memorial Pipe Band. I pipe at Mission Inn fairly regularly.
Bummer that my shirt collar decided to misbehave just then... it was fine at the start of the wedding! BTW the groom wore trousers at the wedding ceremony but switched into kilts for the reception, I don't know why. Some of his family flew over from Scotland to attend.

Excellent pic, Richard, a nice souvenir of the day, very thoughtful of the bride and groom to send it to you.
I remember seeing the Kevin Blandford Memorial Pipe Band in action when I attended the Ventura Seaside Games in 2009.
