We were expecting rain that day, so I put away the tweeds, but kept the bonnet. I learned my lesson two years ago when I got a head cold for not having a cover.
For perspective, Shaun is 7 feet tall, making Ken all of 9 feet, 5 inches...

In my dreams, Steve! In reality, I'm far closer to 5' than 7'! Definitely made me laugh, though!

I think I see my old dear friend Dave there on the far right!
You're all looking sharp there.
I really like the sporrans on far left and 3rd from left, which look like 1953 MOD cantles with new bodies.

If I recall correctly, I bought the cantle from a tall piper in California! I'm editing this post as Shaun reminds me in the post below to indicate that Artificer also rebagged my cantle with a nice, mottled pig-skin.

Good eye, OC... Both re-bagged by Artificer (bobcat on the left and pigskin on the right).

Nice pic of the kilted rabble.
Living in Scotland it always seems unusual to hear of Scottish gatherings outside of our own games season which runs from mid-May to mid-September. This time of year it is cold here.

Yes it's a conundrum here, whether Games should be held at their traditional Scottish times (summer) or at times when we have the best weather (fall, winter, or early spring).
When I started going to Games, back in the 70s, our Games schedule started and ended on the big three-day holiday weekends which bookmark our summers: Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend.
Now we have Games in October and February too.
PS that bobcat MOD sporran is fantastic.
