Seattle Kilt night
here is a photo from the Seattle kilt night on 1/12/08 at the Pyramid brewery in Seattle. A few more had planned on attending but illness droped our numbers a little.

Eric's wife Malinda took the photo, she had a "bear" of a time with this wild crowd. It was fun seeing old friends and meeting new.
We want to make this a more regular event.
please email (oldhiker50@aol.com) or PM me if you live in the Puget Sound area. I will keep a list and send out announcements via email and posting here on the X site. We will move these around to make it easier for all to attend.

Nice photo. That is a pretty neat looking sporran that Don is sporting.
Cheers

Looks like it was a success... I did begin feeling better yesterday afternoon, but realized that it was a better idea to stay home, partly so I could finish up the head swap on a Volvo wagon that I've been working on. Got a couple more hours worth of work, then I can start driving the dern thing...

That's Don Moore of Clan Muir, isn't it? Sure looks like him. A very nice gent & kinsman of mine!
Good job...if I ever get down your way (I'm up north in Bellingham) when your having such an event, I'll have to join y'all!
Tell Don "hi" for me!

Gee, George, that's a great looking tartan. What tartan is it?
That sporran is looking pretty sharp.
(For those that were wondering, it is a Lamont Ancient)

A very distinguished looking line-up. And I agree with Jamie about Don's sporran.

It was a fine evening, and belive it or not we closed the place down....
It was good talking with George and Eric again, as well as his lovely wife Belinda.
It was also great to get a chance to see Turpin's fine work up close. That coupled with Tom's leatherworking made George's sporran a true work of art.
But Don's sporran got the most...reaction...
Hopefully he'll post to boast about it, but it is truly a one of a kind beauty.
We agreed we'd like to see these things be a little more regular, so some of the other locals can attend.
