Sherwood Forest Faire 2/16/13
After having to miss seeing a lot of friends opening weekend due to work, I was happy to get out to Sherwood Forest last Saturday! I was even more happy to spend the day with Molly, one of my closest friends from high school days, who I've always been in touch with but had not seen in person for about 20 years.

Here's Molly and I outside the new Sherwood Keep.

Better view of the keep, this is actually the office/retreat of the faire's owner.

a little morning fairy frolic...

Here's a brand new pub, the Three Stags, yes there is a tree growing through it.

The new pub is a great place to make new friends!

Lovely ladies, and warm February weather. What could be better?
Is the "stone" facade of the castle concrete? It looks really sharp in your pictures.

It is some kind of decorative plaster deal, not sure of the details. I do know most of it was done by one guy.

Looks like fun to me.
PS: the redheaded lass in the pub picture, in the light gray dress. I want to see more of her dress. Hey, I'd like to see more of HER, too, but this is a family-friendly forum.

Alan, yeah, me too! and it was a nice looking dress. sadly that's the only photo I got of her... I did chat her up a little bit though, but about the only useful fact I could tell you is that she's from Albuquerque.
