Show Pics of Your Favorite Kilt Makers Work

Well, I'm sitting home recovering from eye surgery, and I'm bored stiff, seeing that I can't be active for a week. So, I was thinking what to post here, and I thought that getting pictures from the rabble on their favorite kilt makers would be fun.

I know Riverkilt speaks extensively about USA Kilts and Cathy Lare. And, I've heard a lot about Barb T., Matt Newsome, etc. My go-to kilt makers, which are two, and on the east coast: Wally Catanch is an engineering prof at Penn State, and Bonnie Heather Greens is located in NY, above the Big Apple. Also, Reid Kilts of Scotland. So, here are a few pics from them.

    Wally Catanach's beautiful, hand-stitched work

    Again, Wally's craftsmanship

    Bonnie Heather Greene's wonderful work

Another close up of Bonnie's work

    Reid Kilts

Another Reid. Yes, I have a Robertson kilt from Bonnie and Peter Reid

My master kiltmaker is Paul Henry who, incidently, has a magic way of making each of his kilts unique and individual.

Here are a couple of bad telephone camera photos of the Tank that he made for me:

John Hart of Kitchener is the artisan of my 8 yard Lamont tartan kilt, pleated to the stripe. I love it! I think it looks smashing and the workmanship is first-rate. Here are some photos I posted when I first received it. http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...rn-kilt-78860/

I haved a number of kilts, not all of which are bespoke but of those that are, my favourite Kilt Maker is Carol Ellis (formerly Carol Fitzherbert). She's a very talented lady and I have a few of her creations.

I do like your Northumbrian Check EB!

I have only one kilt. I took my time choosing my kiltmaker and IMHO made the best choice possible. If I do ever feel the need for kilt number two - Red Robertson in Noble's regimental weight, if I can find some! - I would look no further than Paul Henry:

    Grizzly,

Just because Paul chose not to be an advertiser here does not diminish his fine work at all. You all have the right to be proud of your kilts.

Well said Steve, I consider you both to be friends as I have met both of you in person and from my perspective I couldn't wish to meet two nicer people.
