    Show us your presents.

As this is the time of year for gift giving I thought it would be nice if we gave our members a place to show off some of the gifts that they received this year.

I'll start with these pics of my new Kilt Pin.

My wife Bobbie found this in a small antique shop here in Victoria.
It is un-halmarked silver with agates. The stones are probably Citrines.
The shape is of a dagger. It's 3.75 inches long and heavy enough to hold my apron down in a good stiff breeze.

And a side shot to show the fastener and some detail.

    So what did you get?

I was lucky enough to receive both an iPod touch and Dr. Dre Beats headphones by Monster from my parents. I needed both to keep me sane through my last year at university... was about to buy them both for myself so this was a very nice surprise

It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Merry Christmas, all I wanted was my family to be together, but my family got me some fantastic gifts- first is me this morning with the walking stick my youngest son made

second is an antique gold pocket watch and chain from the 1800's my wife got me on one of her inspections in Alaska

and my last big gift is amazing- it is a real Hawaii Five-0 badge signed by Jack Lord as "Aloha, Steve McGarrett" . You can not buy these. We saw one of these at the retired generel of Tripler Hospitals house in a display frame and he told my wife how he got it. My wife then found the Head of the provost marshals at Tripler and asked if she could buy one to give me. He said that she could not buy one, that the deal he made with Jack Lord was that they needed to be earned. He told her that when Five - o ended in 1980 he was a Detective with HPD and a cosultant/ actor/ body guard and friend of the actors and he gave him 50 of the autographed gold shields. He told my wife that he only had 3 left and wanted to know about me, she told him and must have somehow impressed him that he signed " Book em Rick" above Jack Lords signature.

I got a very nice brown hunting sporran made by L&M that my wife bought for me from Rocky at USA kilts. http://www.usakilts.com/store/cart.p...t_detail&p=273 It is very nice, and will go great with both my tweed and my upcoming BlackWatch kilts. I'll try to get a photo posted later this evening.

    SFC Rick,

That is a fantastic gift, and as a cop, I can really appreciate that one.
I only had snow for a Christmas gift and the pleasure to work.

I did not really get any Christmas gifts but two weeks ago I did purchase a used Beretta 9mm .

Merry Christmas to all my friends throughout the world, I hope that your day was spent amongst family and friends and in a warm cozy place.

I had to work today and at 0450 this morning the only other person on highway 24 was the Pottawatomie Sheriff and I. The roads were great and the snow was steadily blowing across the road all the way to work. The National Weather Service said that Kansas was under blizzard conditions.

Once back at home, I had to use my four-wheel drive and even when I put it in 4WD LOW, I was still unable to make it into the garage. I had to shovel an 18 foot by 24-foot area in order to get my car into shelter. The snowdrift near the garage was too high to just plow through.

Here are some pictures of me getting ready to end my Christmas
