Herewith my "Rob Roy (Movie)" tweed: Fabric produced by the Islay Woolen Mill for Liam Neeson's character in the movie. First, a pic from a coastal hike a few months ago:





And a closeup of the pleating taken by the kilt maker, Matt Newsome, just before shipping it to me:





I'll be wearing it in "dressier" circumstances in Japan at my sensei's birthday party a week from Sunday, and will post another pic or two after that.

OK, I'll go next. This is an Rkilts tweed. I really like it... so much so that I can't decide between my next kilt being a tartan or a tweed... (oh yeah, Iknow someone will say, "you get tartan in tweed!). You guys look really fine. Terrific tweeds on all fronts! The following photos are Sunday shots.

Bit of a blurry image, but one benefit to non-tartan kilts is that they lend themselves to including more dynamic patterns in other parts of te ensemble. Sadly I've shrunken out of both this kilt and the waistcoat. The kilt could be altered, but the waistcoat is a loss I think.
