Sort of a Kilted Night Out

Tuesday night, the Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum held their annual Volunteer Appreciation Christmas Dinner. The museum's resident piper and I wore our kilts. After the meal and a few drinks, I tried to teach him how to do the Hamish. The photo is kind of blurred because the young lady taking it started laughing. You would think that she had never seen a kilted old man do such a thing.

It sounds like the night had it all, aeroplanes, automobiles, laughing women, kilted men doing the Hamish, food, what more could one ask? Good show, thanks.

I'm sure she will get over it and just assume from now on that all us kilted old men are equally mad, if she ever meets another.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

There is a good possibility that she may meet a few more. At least three other old volunteers confided in me about how they have always wanted to wear a kilt. One of them has been trying for years to get his grandfather's kilt from one of his cousins. So who knows, maybe there will be a couple of other denizens of Hood River on X-marks in the future. Oh yeah, they are equally as mad so well qualified.
