The Southern North Sea
Sorry, not Kilt related (other than I wear Kilts and you wear Kilts) but I thought I'd share the view from the sickbay window at work.
These pictures were snapped a few days ago. We are +/- 50 miles out.

Stunning pics, though I'm sure the lack of kilts is what got you into the sickbay

Re: The Southern North Sea
Well there I was thinking of you "out there" on your own-some, hundred foot waves in all directions, ice bergs baring down on you through thick fog, sleet, snow and torrential rain(yes all at the same time!) and what do I see? The ocean littered with neighbours, sun and no waves, just a mere ripple and what is more, you are indoors!. Well that is another illusion shattered!
Well done EB, great pictures.

Being a son of a nautical type, I have a smidgen of an idea of what a "bad day" is like and I am quite sure that I can leave the North sea in your capable hands!

Re: The Southern North Sea
Great pics John. Take some pictures when the winter storms roars, then we can see how the North sea really can look like...

Yeah looks so calm.
I have been in the Northern North Sea in the very worst of weathers, not a nice experience at all but very spectacular.

Beautiful. Looks very familiar (but without the oil rigs on the horizon). Thanks for the memories.
And I would say Yes, the North Atlantic can be a tad rough come spring.

John:
I was going to figure out on the map where you were. 50 miles off of what point of land? Is it a helo ride to the platform or boat? Grand pictures for sure.
