    Spooky Solstice

Last night at the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Garden I attended the Solstice Lantern Festival organised by the Secret Lantern Society here in Vancouver. SOme members from the J.P. Fell Pipe band have been getting together informally as the Black Bear Rebels ceilidh group. I played and sang with them last night and had a wonderful time of it. Here is my son and I at the bust or Dr. Sun as we were entering.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

I don't think Dr. Sun Yat Sen was known for wearing kilts.....

    Sorry. Too much coffee.
EPITAPH: Decades from now, no one will know what my bank balance looked like, it won't matter to anyone what kind of car I drove, nor will anyone care what sort of house I lived in. But the world will be a different place, because I did something so mind bafflingly eccentric that my ruins have become a tourist attraction.

I'm sure Gryphon noir knew that.

I decided against kilting the boy because I knew he'd be out all night in the cold and his mother worries.
