This St Patrick's Day, I drove the Bus.
...ok a van not bus. My wife and I are fans of local celtic rock band, Craic Wisely. This year for St Pat's they played 3 shows over 2 days in 2 cities. We decided that we would rent a van and follow the band from show to show as a group of fans, Craic Heads. So we rented a 15 passenger van, and got a bunch of hotel rooms, and printed T-shirts for all of us. The fans ranged from their mid 50s to 21. We all had a great time. Nothing worked exactly as we planned but all went well. Here are some pics:
My friend Jim loaned me a great kilt (in a fashion tartan) for the day of St Pat's. We also got my buddy Taki in a great kilt, he's the really big guy, its a 9 yard great kilt, but it probably should've been 10. This was the first time I had ever worn a great kilt. I enjoyed it, it was a nice change from the Utillikilt, but I won't be switching to it full time, any time soon.
BTW since I was driving most of the weekend, I didn't have a drink until Sunday after I returned the van. We stopped at another Irish Pub on the way home;).
