Tartan Ball
This is a picture of my wife and I with some friends at the Tartan Ball in San Diego. Not as many kilts as I would have expected and only a few were in evening wear. Though a few did it right with buckle brogues and diced hose. Still it was a fun evening with pipes and highland dancing.

Great picture, all four of you looking good.
As it will soon be Christmas I thought you were going to show us a tartan ball like this

Was this the Cameron Highlanders' Tartan Ball?
If so, I was there! Piper in the front rank, next to the Pipe Major for the first show and a half, then the back half of the circle when we did Cannon, Amazing Grace, and the sword dance.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I wish I could have stayed and enjoyed the night, too, but I had to leave as soon as we finished the second show.

Ah yes, been seeing LOTS of tartan Christmas decorations this year. I guess they've always been there but now I'm more tartan-aware (translation: caught the bug) I see them all the time. I've even seen kilted (and Irish) Santas!
Onto the subject of the thread, lookin' good. I particularly like the blue flashes with the black hose, very sleek.
