Tartan Ball Group pics Tampa
In February, I came up with the idea of having a Tartan Ball as a fundraiser for Shriner's Hospital for Children. It was to be headed up by the Egypt Shrine Highlander's Bagpipe Band. Also the Krewe of Shamrock and the Krewe of Brigadoon were invited to help out, both of these being kilted parade krewes. Well after 8 months of planning the event was last Saturday, Oct. 13th. We had in attandence 250 people. Here are some pics from the end of the night of the groups on stage.
This is the Krewe of Shamrocks, I am a member also I am the one with the bucket, I was doing 50/50 and Raffle ticket sales all night. I raised over $ 1,700.00....

More group shots coming....

Here's a shot of the Band Marching in led by Ed Smoak and Rob St. John

We Crowned a king and Queen, which were John Lawless the highlander's youngest bagpiper and soon to be Atty and Diana from the krewe of Shamrock a nurse and hard worker at all fundraisers.

These are all the pics so far as soon as I get more from the night I will post..

John, thanks for the report. I am glad to see you know how to kneel in a kilt for photos! Looks like the affair was quite a success.

Excellent pics, showing a fine selection of kilts. Looks like a most enjoyable night had by all. Well done on the fundraising.

Cool pix, but yeah, looks like the guy in the MacKenzie needs to be taught how to kneel correctly... Don't need an underwear flash... At least, we know he's not regimental. Not to mention, a couple of the guys in the New World Celts group. At least, they weren't as splayed out as the first guy in the group.
Anyway, looks like a good time was had by all...

He's probably new to kilt wearing. Here is where Shriner of one of the ladies could give him a short lesson
