The first one led to a facebook page where the content was unavailable, the second to an entire album at zenfolio.

Seems a lot of people use photobucket here though I never have. My ISP, as do most ISPs, provides me with server space for my own personal use. I just resize my photos and use an appropriate JPG compression to maintain clairity. From there I use a FTP client to upload to folders created on my personal space. Bring the photo up in the browser, copy the url and then paste it in the "Insert image" box using the URL. Uncheck the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" and you have your photos displayed. I may be saying something of the obvious to everyone here but I have had no issues that seem to be part of displaying photos from photobucket.

I've been pretty happy with http://imgur.com/ - once you've uploaded an image you can choose a few different sizes and then copy the 'BBCode' or 'Linked BBCode' and paste it into a message here, and it should appear automatically, like this:

Thanks for all the advise. I'd love to figure a way ton use zenfolio but I haven't been able to without it being a sales site. I will just post them from my computer until further successful attempts. Until then I have deleted my photobucket account

I tried that once but it apparently didn't show. I am not in a big hurry so may try it again. I believe from the comments it also was a link though
