THCD caber toss

On Saturday at Costa Mesa, I dressed up a bit more than usual. I had a respectable shirt on, matching hose, brown leathers and leather shoes. Now, I topped it off with a brown tweed flat cap, which would give many lads the horrors, but for me, I was looking pretty traditional.

Anyway, my intent was to spend most of the day parked under my friends, Dana and Sharon MacDonalds tent, slowly emptying their cooler and adding color commentary as the Games progressed. However, those of you who know me can guess how long that lasted...maybe an hour.

I wound up side-judging the ladies caber...which means that I got to hang out with GGGP, who I only see two or three times a year. sydnie7 and her Bob and Elizabeth came by, as well, and I saw grizzbass and his family too. Anyway, I also helped with side-judging the C class, and the young lads were having some problems with the caber. It's a drag for the crowd to watch fail after fail after fail on the caber. Folks want to see guys TURN a stick. So after the C's were done, with I think two turns for the entire hour they were out there, I had them stand up their caber for me.
