That time 'o year again

Every year our band do a 'celtic' 'folky' carol concert in the church at the back of our place and all proceeds go towards the church restoration fund. This year we billed it as "Carols & Candles in the Chancery". The ticket price included Mulled Wine & Mince Pies after. Here a few pics, albeit not brill ones ... I obviously had the wrong setting on this new camera of mine. but hopefully they will convey the atmosphere we created. We performed in front of the alter, and started seating people in the choir stalls then the rest of the church. It was full and quite a magical night We did 'In the bleak mid winter' .. Beach Boys style .. it was great fun to do and the audeince got into the groove too




Then after the mulled wine and mince pies came out




After we packed up we just hung around and had a natter for a while.

Good pics, Derek, its nice to see someone still believing in those traidtional Christmas carols. I'm afraid the modern ones in our new church hymnary sound too much like funereal dirges and just add to the feelings of loneliness and depression of this time of year.
